Terms of Use

Last updated: February 19, 2026

Acceptance

By using Shadow ("the Software"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Software.

Description

Shadow is a local testing tool that simulates API behavior (Gmail, Slack, Stripe) for the purpose of evaluating AI agent safety. Shadow does not interact with real services. All data is simulated and stored locally.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Software is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and noninfringement.

Trust Scores

Trust scores are approximations based on detected risk patterns. They do not guarantee production safety and should not be the sole basis for deployment decisions. Always perform thorough testing before deploying agents to production systems.

Limitation of Liability

In no event shall the authors, Gratitude First Farms, LLC, or copyright holders be liable for any claim, damages, or other liability arising from the use of the Software.

License

The Shadow core is licensed under the MIT License. The Shadow Console UI is source-available under BSL 1.1 for local use. See the LICENSE file for details.

Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use of the Software constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
